To what am I referring?
Type 2 diabetes.
Reported on Reuters recently was that every country in the world will see rates of diabetes rise dramatically in the next 30 years.
Currently 529 million people (6.5% of the total) have diabetes; by far the majority of these are type 2.
This new global study projected that this number will more than double to 1.3 billion people by 2050 (that’ll be 13.4% of the 9.8 billion projected population then).
Managing type 2 diabetes is very challenging. Involved is:
1 → blood sugar management
2 → diet and nutrition
3 → medication management
4 → psychological and emotional well-being
5 → physical activity
The last one, #5, staying physically active, is crucial for MANAGING type 2 diabetes.
Ironically, staying active is also the number one way of PREVENTING someone from getting type 2.
If you want to learn how you can be aerobically active, strength train and stretch with an investment of less than 2% (3 hours) of each week, we should chat.
