A few of my friends have told me they are at risk of type 2 diabetes.

Translation : their doc has told them it’s time to “be serious” about changing certain aspects of their lifestyle / diet, or “be on medication” and a whole host of other undesirables.

So … what are NATURAL WAYS to improve your INSULIN SENSITIVITY?

→ (1) GET MORE SLEEP – several studies link not getting enough sleep to reduced insulin sensitivity.

→ (2) EXERCISE MORE – working out for ~3 hours per week can help promote an immediate increase in insulin sensitivity

→ (3) REDUCE STRESS – ongoing stress keeps your stress hormone levels high, stimulating nutrient breakdown and increasing blood sugar

→ (4) LOSE A FEW POUNDS – excess weight, especially belly fat, reduces insulin sensitivity and increases the risk of type 2 diabetes by making hormones that promote insulin resistance in the muscles and liver

→ (5) consume more HEALTH PROMOTING FOODS … so try … eating more soluble fibre, more colourful fruit / vegetables to your diet, cut carbs, reduce added sugars, add herbs & spices to your cooking, drink more green tea, try apple cider vinegar, avoid trans fats,

if that leaves you scratching your head as to how to get cracking with that …
